Trans Am Cup Series heads to Hidden Valley for Round 2

16 June 2026

The Choices Flooring Trans Am Cup Series head’s to Hidden Valley Raceway for Round Two of the championship, supporting the betr Darwin Triple Crown Supercars event this weekend June 19-21 and features a competitive 19 car field.

After dominating round one at the Bathurst 6 Hour, Nathan Herne enters the round with a 23 point Championship lead over James Golding who won’t be competing this weekend due to supercar commitments, providing Supercars team owner Tim Blanchard with an opportunity to step into the #10 Cooldrive Ford Mustang for the first time in 12 months.

Ben Bargwanna in the #97 Hangcha Forklifts Mustang sits third in the championship after Round One, where he delivered his best result in the series to date, however with Golding not competing, he could be considered as second outright.

Rookies Harrison Sellars, Jordan Freestone, Tyler Cheney and Cody Brewczynski will tackle Hidden Valley for the first time with Brewczynski the highest placed first year competitor in 10th outright after Bathurst.

Todd Hazelwood, James Moffat and Blake Tracey will be looking for solid results after a challenging season opener where all three suffered either poor pace, race ending contact or penalties.

GRM squad members Lachlan Evennett and Jack Smith will also be looking to have a far less eventful round after finding trouble at Bathurst while Elliott Barbour who announced the impending birth of his first child this week will look to consolidate his sixth position in the championship after a solid opening round.

On track action begins Friday with one practice session at 8:25am followed by qualifying at 11:35am and Race one at 2:30pm. Saturday and Sunday will see two races at 12:15pm and 9:10am. You can catch all the action live on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.

Round 2 of the Choices Flooring Trans Am Cup Series takes place June 19-21 at Hidden Valley Raceway as part of the betr Darwin Triple Crown Supercars event.

QUOTES

Todd Hazelwood #1 Four’N Twenty Pies, Ford Mustang

"Round 1 showed plenty of promise with a pole position and several podiums, but we didn't quite get the result we were after. We've worked hard between rounds to build on that speed, and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in Darwin."

“Darwin was a strong event for me last year, and with the experience I've gained at Hidden Valley over the years, I'm confident we can be fighting at the front again. It's always a challenging weekend with the heat and the nature of the circuit, but the racing is usually close and exciting, so I am looking forward to getting out there."

Ben Bargwanna, #97 Hangcha Forklifts, Ford Mustang

"I'm excited to be heading back to Darwin this weekend. Bathurst was a really strong round for us as a team and it was great to come away third overall while showing the pace we've got in the car. To keep that momentum rolling, we just need to continue doing what we've been doing. We had good speed in Darwin last year.”

"We know we've got the pace around Hidden Valley after setting the fastest lap in Race 2 last year, so the focus this weekend is on maximising practice and qualifying, putting together a clean weekend and making the most of every opportunity."
